Introduction
Welcome to AccountSweep
These Terms of Service ('Terms') govern your access to and use of AccountSweep ('Service', 'we', 'us', or 'our'). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.
Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using AccountSweep, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and contributors of content.
Description of Service
AccountSweep is a privacy-first account management service that helps you discover, organize, and manage your online accounts. Our Service includes:
- Account discovery through email scanning (Gmail, Outlook, IMAP)
- Account management and organization tools
- GDPR-compliant DSAR (Data Subject Access Request) template generation
- Data export and import capabilities
User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and encryption passphrase
- All activities that occur under your account
- Ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations
- Not using the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Subscription and Payment
AccountSweep offers both free and paid subscription plans. The free plan includes basic features with limitations. The Pro plan provides enhanced features including increased account limits, additional scans, and custom templates.
Payment processing for Pro subscriptions is handled by Stripe, Inc. ('Stripe'). By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy. We do not store or process credit card information directly.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or via the Stripe Customer Portal. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact us. Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the charge.
Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is fundamental to AccountSweep. We implement end-to-end encryption to protect your data. All account information is encrypted on your device before being stored. We cannot decrypt your data without your encryption passphrase.
Email scanning is performed locally on your device. We never upload your email content to our servers. Only account information you choose to import is stored (in encrypted form). For detailed information about our data practices, please review our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AccountSweep and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
The Service is provided 'as is' and 'as available' without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All data associated with your account will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
